The Changes

As of October 7th, 2018, Fusion 360 has been consolidated to a single product offering for a single price. Fusion 360 now includes access to all available features to commercial subscribers.
The enhancement to the Fusion 360 packaging to a single product allows all customers to take full advantage of the entire Fusion 360 set of capabilities. This includes generative design, advanced simulation, and multi-axis machining. Subscribers now have access to the full feature set and the flexibility of usage through cloud credits. Cloud Credits for these services will now be purchased independently and available as needed.
The new version of Fusion 360 includes all current features and functions available, the same that was in the Fusion 360 Ultimate package.

Transition for Current Customers

Is there a change to the entitlements for students, startups and hobbyists?

Students and Educators will not see any change in their product access or features included. For Fusion 360 Startup/Hobbyist subscribers, there is no change to the startup/hobby subscription for Fusion 360 at this time. All users will continue to have access to all features.
Note: Generative Design technology for Fusion 360 will only be accessible to commercial customers.

I purchased my original subscription during the special offer for early adopters. What does this mean for me?

We have not changed our commitment to early adopters of Fusion 360. You will receive all the benefits of your current subscription (including cloud credits) at the same price, for as long as you remain current.

I currently have a subscription for Product Design & Manufacturing Collection or Product Design Suite. What does this mean for me?

Whether you subscribe or have active maintenance of either Product Design Suite (Premium or Ultimate) or the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection you will now have access to all capabilities of Fusion 360. Fusion 360 access may need to be re-assigned to end-users in the Autodesk account. Note that the access to Fusion 360 subscription does not include cloud credits. Click here for more information.

About Cloud Credits

What are cloud credits?

Cloud credit is currency used for running compute jobs on the cloud such as cloud-based rendering, simulation, and generative design.

Number of credits consumed varies based on the type and complexity of the job; e.g. Higher resolution of a rendering = higher cost.

How many cloud credits do I get?

• New user accounts will receive a one-time grant of 100 Individual Cloud Credits that can be used for Fusion 360

**The first purchase by any user, for any subscription product, receives a one-time grant of 100 cloud credits upon account creation. These cloud credits do not have an expiration date.

What Fusion 360 functionality currently requires cloud credits?

At this time, performing generative design explorations, cloud rendering and cloud simulations in the cloud are the only functions in Fusion 360 that require cloud credits.

What are the benefits of Rendering in the cloud?

Rendering in the cloud takes advantage of virtually infinite computing power to create photorealistic and high-resolution images in less time. Specific benefits include:

• Faster completion times
• Local machine remains free to continue modeling
• Many cloud renderings can progress simultaneously
• Renderings stored in the cloud for easy access, commenting and sharing

Cloud renderings are automatically created on file save. These renderings are intended only as previews of what final cloud renderings would show. Cloud credits are expensed only when any of the automatic renderings can be rendered again at higher resolution and final quality.

Since the elements are naturally at odds with each other, an overall controller is needed to maintain order among the kingdom. Based on Nickelodeon's beloved animated series (to which I am only vaguely familiar and thus can't compare) is set i a world in which the population is divided amid the four elements (Earth, Wind, Water and Fire) and some skilled practitioners whom can 'bend' these elements to their will. Simulation in the cloud offers users with significant capability and productivity benefits. With cloud solving, users are able to:

• Solve larger, time intensive and complex problems without consuming local resources.

• Perform faster design exploration and optimization because of the ability to iterate through many configurations.

• Kick off numerous solves in parallel by taking advantage of infinite computing resources.

• Let the solve(s) proceed on the cloud while disconnecting from the solve, or even the internet, during the solve.

• Use alternate workspaces in Fusion 360 while solve is proceeding.

• Access results on Fusion Team once the solve is complete.

• Pursue alternate tasks on local hardware to be more productive.

How many cloud credits are consumed for cloud simulation?

The pricing for cloud simulation varies based on the complexity of the problem. The table below summarizes what the user can expect to pay per cloud simulation:

How can I check my current balance of cloud credits?

Follow these steps to check your CC balance at any time:

1. Go to Autodesk Account (accounts.autodesk.com).
2. Click on the Usage Report page for the desired contract.

Do cloud credits carry over (roll over) on renewal?

Cloud credits allocated for new purchase or renewal are good for 12 months and do not roll over.
