  • Autodesk® AutoCAD® P&ID software has been discontinued as of May 3, 2018, and its features and capabilities are now available within Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D software. AutoCAD Plant 3D gives you P&ID functionality along with more advanced capabilities for plant design.

  • Autodesk CFD Design Study Environment and CFD Motion: Autodesk® CFD Design Study Environment software has been discontinued and commercial versions are no longer for sale. If you have downloaded a previous version of CFD Design Study Environment and/or CFD Motion software, you can continue to run that version; however, you will not be able to download a newer version.   • Autodesk Flow Design: Autodesk® Flow Design software has been discontinued and commercial versions are no longer for sale. If you have downloaded a previous version of Flow Design, you can continue to run that version; however, you will not be able to download a newer version. In order to support school curriculum, the education software will be available to students, educators, and academic institutions until April 23, 2020; no technical support will be available after that time.   • Autodesk Nastran: Autodesk® Nastran® software has been discontinued as a standalone offering. In an effort to streamline the experience and deliver more value to our customers, the functionality is now available in Autodesk® Nastran® In-CAD. If you have downloaded a previous version of Nastran, you can continue to run that version; however, you will not be able to download a newer version. In order to support school curriculum, Autodesk Nastran 2018 will be available to students, educators, and academic institutions until April 23, 2020; no technical support will be available after that time.   • Stingray: As of January 7, 2018, Stingray software has been discontinued and its functionality is available via the 3ds Max Interactive feature as part of Autodesk® 3ds Max®. In order to support school curriculum, if you have downloaded a previous education version of Stingray, technical support will be available until January 7, 2020; no technical support will be available after that time.   • Structural Analysis for Revit service: As of June 30, 2018, Autodesk will be discontinuing the Structural Analysis for Autodesk® Revit® service and the service will no longer be available to Education customers. Customers are advised to finish projects and download and remove their data from the service before that date.

Autodesk has many different types of software that can be used for a three year term (as long as the student continues to meet the qualifications of the licensing terms). Here are some of the terms that may be at issue. First, is the term Qualified Educational Institution. According to one licensing term sheet I found from Autodesk: 26.
