We are using SCCM to image about 10 EliteBook x360 1030 Gen 2, and installing Windows 10 Enterprise (1703) x64. Everything goes well during the task sequence until the reboot following the driver installation. Once it reboots, it completely drops the ball on SCCM. Device driver installation proceeds, and then eventually, it makes it to the login screen, where I end up having to use the local admin password to login, as it has not joined our domain. Log in, and Windows 10 sees that there is a device plugged in (USB 3.0 device), but doesn't recognize it as a network adapter until it is unplugged and plugged back in. Also, it should be noted, that after the driver installation, the lights on the network adapter go off, and do not come back on.
I've downloaded the driver pack for this model and imported the drivers into the boot image (PE), and into the driver package.

1. Remove the Bluetooth drivers from the drivers package
2. Install the Bluetooth driver as an application

Although it seems totally unrelated, we did find that not including the Intel BT drivers worked for us. Otherwise, the HP USB Ethernet adapter would die after installing the driver stage in SCCM's Task Sequence.
Don't rely on the read me - check the driver package itself. Or use the HP SoftPaq manager to download the drivers that you need (i.e. missing).
Also, in your task sequence, do you use the Apply Driver Package step or Auto Apply Driver. If it's the latter it may be picking up other BT drivers in your repo.

We actually use a 3rd party imaging solution and just use DISM to inject the drivers. See the attached list of 3rd party and then all drivers it installs. I don't see any bluetooth drivers in the 3rd party list and I'm hesitant to go in and start ripping out MS drivers. Thanks for the help BTW.

You are right about the Bluetooth drivers - they used to be the problem on HP Spectre x360 G2.
I am currently imaging by adding each driver at a time to see the drivers causing the conflict.
I have narrowed down that the Intel WLAN and Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Drivers are the issue BUT only for Win10 1611 and below.
On Win10 1703, the Intel WLAN drivers are built-in and I have restarted the testing. So far I have narrowed it to down to the Intel drivers causing the issue.
Will report again when I have found the exact driver.

These are the things I did, and I did eventually get it to work..
Downhill domination pc. 1. Updated BIOS to 1.06
2. Changed my task sequence, adding the Join Domain or Workgroup step after Apply Device Drivers and after Setup Windows and Config Manager Step.
3. Removed step to install the specific driver package, and just let it pick the drivers it deemed best for the OS.
